Vou começar a falar das personagens do High School Musical 2 a primeira e a Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens), e uma rapariga que canta muito bem e que esta apaixonada por  Troy Bolton ( Zac Efron) so que para contrariar a sua amiga rica Sharpay Evans andasse a atirar a ele. Tal como Troy, Gabriella arranjou emprego de Verao: nadadora salvadora no clube de ferias Lava Springs. Avril Ramona Lavigne Whibley e assim que a nossa cantora se chama ao todo!  Nem eu sabia!  Filha de John e Judy Lavigne.  Ja se casou e pelo o que dizem que nao sei se e verdade esta gravida, mas nao deve ser... Teve uma infância calma mas superprotegida pelos seus pais. Cantava músicas religiosas e country desde pequena.Sua mãe lhe chamava de Little Song Bird, (Pequeno Passarinho Cantor).  Aos catorze anos, Avril ganhou um concurso para cantar com Shania Twain uma cantora famosa de musica contry. Foi nesse dia que a Avril Lavigne decidiu o que faria da vida. Ser cantora... Quando tinha quinze anos seus pais concordaram em mandá-la para Nova Iorque para tentar a sorte como cantora. Lá gravou gravou sua primeira fita demo, que chamou a atenção de Antonio "L.A." Reid, que gostou da atitude da Avril Lavigne. O contrato foi fechado em dezembro de 2001 e a partir daí começaram os preparativos para seu primeiro álbum, o elogiado Let go,que atingiu o sucesso mundial com o vídeo Complicated.  Em 2004, após se afastar por dois anos, Avril lança o disco Under my skin, que revela uma cantora mais madura e com muito mais auto confiança em seu disco. Esse álbum mostra uma Avril mais dark e com um estilo muito mais rock o que a fez ser comparada com Amy lee a vocalista dos Evanescence.  Após a maior turnê da sua carreira, a Bonez Tour, terminada em 25 de Setembro de 2005, Avril decide tirar férias e casa-se com Deryck  Whibley, o vocalista do Sum 41. Nesse período, ela muda radicalmente de estilo, posa para revistas de moda vestindo Channel e Gucci. Isso a torna muito criticada pelos antigos fãs, mas atrai um público adolescente muito maior. Em 2007, mais precisamente no dia 16 de fevereiro  ela lança  The best themn thing, com um estilo muito mais  poop  e mostrando uma Avril mais feminina. O disco foi um grande sucesso, após três anos sem um trabalho inédito nas lojas e vendeu cerca de 800 mil cópias na primeira semana de lançamento. O primeiro single foi girlfriend, o vídeo musical mais visto no You Tube em todos os tempos.
